At Holder Farms we make every effort to make deliveries to the specified location at the specified time.
We bale the North Carolina Long Leaf Pine Needles, which are longer and larger in diameter than the Loblolly and Slash Pine Needles (which are known as short leaf pine needles). This means that they will last longer when installed than the Loblolly and Slash. The Long Leaf Needles generally cost more than the competition, initially, but cost much less in the end because they do not have to be installed as often.
Installation of the pine needles is very simple. The installer simply has to drop the bales at the desired beds and remove the strings and shake the needles out in the desired location. Then one might like to roll and tuck the edges of the beds, either by hand or, with a blower for the beds that are bordered by a grassy lawn, or punch them in behind curbing, sidewalks, or various types of edging creating a nice transition.
